Terms & Conditions

1.Consultation and Booking:

1.1. Initial Consultation: We offer an initial consultation to discuss your event requirements and vision. During this consultation, we will provide you with an estimate of the services and costs involved.

1.2. Booking Confirmation: To secure our services a non-refundable deposit of AUD 100 is required to be paid within 3 business days of receiving your invoice.

2. Services:

2.1.Event Styling and Decoration:

Kohinoor Events will provide event styling and decoration services as agreed during the booking process. Any changes to the agreed-upon services must be requested in writing and may be subject to additional charges.

3.Bond:

A bond is required to be paid with all bookings containing prop hire. Price of bond is determined by the total cost of prop hire. All items will be inspected upon collection – should there be any damage to the hired items or theft, the amount of the bond will be partially or fully forfeited depending on the severity of the damage. If the damage is greater than the value of the bond, Kohinoor Events are authorised to invoice the customer for the remaining amount. If products are undamaged, the bond will be fully refunded to your nominated bank account within 72 hours after the date of your event.

4.Payment:

4.1. Payment Schedule: The remaining amount of the balance for your order is required to be paid at a minimum of 5 business days prior to your event date. The deposit amount will be deducted from the total cost of your order.

4.2. Late Payments: Late payments may incur additional charges. Failure to make timely payments may result in the cancellation of our services.

5. Delivery, Set up & Collection Fee:

Delivery, Set up & Collection is an additional fee. This is determined by the location of your event and time of collection. Cost of Delivery, Set up & Collection will vary depending on these terms and will be stated in your quote. Additional costs may incur if flights of stairs are involved. This will be subject to the number of stairs on-site.

6. Time of Delivery & Collection:

Time of Delivery & Collection will be discussed and agreed between Kohinoor Events and the Customer prior to the event date.

The earliest time delivery will commence is 7:00am and collection is no later than 10:00pm. If your event exceeds an 11:00pm collection, collection can be organised for the day after if permitted by the venue. If not, an additional fee may apply if props are required to be collected after 11:00pm and cannot be left at the venue overnight. Set up of props are also available the day/night before the event, provided that it is agreed between both Kohinoor Events and the Customer.

7. Cancellation, Refunds and Changes:

7.1. Cancellation by the Client: If you need to cancel our services, Kohinoor Events requires to be notified in writing. Unfortunately, the deposit paid to secure your booking is non-refundable but can be used as a credit note and can be used within 1 year.

7.2.Booking Changes: If the Customer needs to change their booking date, this will be subject to the availability of props for the new date. If notice is given to Kohinoor Events more than 6 weeks of the event date and props are not available, the Customer reserves the right for a refund of their deposit. If there is less than 6 weeks’ notice, unfortunately Kohinoor Events will not refund the deposit, but the customer is entitled to a credit note.

If the Customer decides to add or change props to their original order, this is permitted depending on the availability of the new prop/s. If the Customer requests to remove any items from their original order, this will not be permitted if notice is given less than 4 weeks of the event date.

7.3. Cancellation by Kohinoor Events: In the unlikely event that we are unable to fulfill our obligations, we will make every effort to provide suitable alternatives or issue a refund.

8. Changes and Adjustments:

8.1. Changes by the Client: Any changes to the agreed-upon services must be requested in writing and may be subject to additional charges. Changes requested close to the event date may not be feasible.

9. Weather Conditions:

It is the Customers responsibility to be aware of weather conditions on the day of their event. In the situation that weather conditions are not safe and are at risk of damaging the products or putting patrons at risk, it is the Customers responsibility to organise an alternative arrangement to prevent this, i.e. indoors or undercover. In the event of any damage to props, the customer is liable for damaged items and responsible for covering costs.

10. Venue Suitability:

It is the Customers responsibility to ensure props are appropriate measurements for all entrances, staircases, doorways and allocated spaces for the event. If this is not foreseen by the Customer and Kohinoor Events cannot proceed with the set-up, Kohinoor Events will not be able to offer a refund.

11. General Cleaning of Props & Equipment:

The Customer is required to wipe down all Props, Cake Stands and Serving Trays with a soft cloth to remove any food residue. If this is not completed upon collection, the Customer may risk a deduction from their bond. All decal on props that isn’t supplied by Kohinoor Events needs to be safely removed before collection. If any glue residue is left on the props, please do not attempt to remove this. All drink accessories need to be rinsed thoroughly with warm water before collection – washing in the dishwasher is not permitted with any Goblets and Champagne/Ice Buckets.

12. Liability:

12.1. Limitation of Liability:  While we take every reasonable precaution, Kohinoor Events shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the provision of our services.

13. Dispute Resolution:

13.1. Dispute Resolution: Any disputes or disagreements shall be resolved through negotiation and mediation. If resolution cannot be achieved, legal action may be pursued as a last resort.

By engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and any additional terms outlined during the Booking process.
